Urgent Needs

Beacon House is a Christian Charity that offers healthcare facilities to those who are homeless, in insecure accommodation, or at high risk of homelessness. These include:
- A nurse led clinic
- Male and female showers
- Washrooms
- Laundry
- Clothing store and toiletries
The above services are available Monday to Friday 12 noon to 4 p.m.
We also provide day beds for homeless people who are ill but not sick enough to be admitted into hospital. These beds are open from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Our nurses also run an open air clinic at the homeless soup run in central Colchester.

We do not offer accommodation. All the above services are offered free of charge.
We also run a series of life skill training courses. On our life skills page you will find further details about the courses.
We offer courses in anger management and assertiveness. Please see the page on anger management for further information. There is a fee for this service but no fee to homeless clients.
